Easily plan weddings with vibes

Turning vibes into wedding vendors through visual matchmaking.

Overview

I designed an MVP responsive web app that helps couples discover wedding vendors effortlessly by suggesting matches based on their visual aesthetic preferences. As the sole designer, I delivered tailored experiences for both customers and vendors in just 3 months, from research through high-fidelity design.

(Bonus: I included a thought experiment on improving the core value proposition leveraging AI at the end of the project.)

Problem

Planning a wedding often involves juggling dozens of vendor searches, emails, and bookings across multiple platforms. Couples describe the process as fragmented and overwhelming—how might we simplify it so they can focus on the excitement and joy of their celebration?

Research & Process

I conducted interviews with 7 people who recently planned their wedding and 5 wedding vendors offering various services, to discover their process in booking a wedding. From there, I completed competitive analysis, user journey map, personas, user flows, mid-fidelity wireframes, testing, and hi-fidelity designs.

Solution - Input vibes, output vendors

Wedding clients can take a quiz to collect their preferences, both quantitatively and visually, for the algorithm to match them with curated vendors. Once completed, clients can browse curated vendors, work samples, reviews for decision making, and contact vendors easily on a single platform.

Results & Learnings

The MVP is more focused on the couple experience and provides a rather generic experience on the vendor side. Research has shown that there are opportunities to help vendors gain more effective visibility without diluting the main value proposition, which can be considered for the revenue model.

Thought Experiment: Enhancing the Matching Experience

To improve the client matching flow and strengthen core value proposition, I explored two key opportunities based on user research insights.

1. Pinterest Import: Since 5 of 7 clients used Pinterest moodboards for wedding inspiration, I introduced an import feature to let users onboard by connecting their boards—streamlining setup and leveraging familiar workflows.

2. AI Fine-Tune: To give users more control and trust, I designed a way to fine-tune their AI-generated moodboards using natural language prompts, allowing them to easily adjust the visuals to better reflect their aesthetic.
